Weather:

What happens if weather affects my scheduled event?

On the day of your scheduled picnic, if the weather is forecasted to have rain or thunderstorms, we will reschedule your picnic for another day or time that works best for your schedule + the weather. Picnic events can also be held indoors at your home or rental as a back up weather plan as well... it makes for an extra cozy experience! Reschedules must be within the same calendar year. A credit will be offered if you cannot reschedule within the same calendar year.

Cancellations:

How do cancellations work?

Clients have up to 30 days prior to their scheduled event to cancel for a full refund. Due to the nature of our booking time frames, we need as much notice as possible to open the date you have reserved on our calendar to other guests. 

Cancellations made by Dewey Beach Picnic Co. for any reason will be fully refunded. 

Payments:

How does payment work?

We take payment via our invoicing application Honeybook. Payment can be processed with all major credit cards via the invoice you receive. All invoices act a contract between Dewey Beach Picnic Co. + the client.

Cash (yay!) is also accepted as a form of payment.

Payment in full is due at the time of booking your event. 

Locations:

Do you only work in Dewey Beach? 

Dewey is our "home base" and the town welcomes our business with open arms but we work in other towns too! Lewes, Bethany Beach, or your very own back yard! We are flexible, so let us know where you envision hosting your picnic or event. We are there! 

Please note, each town has their own set of regulations for their beaches that we are respectful of. During our consultation while booking your picnic, we will go over the regulation details of your requested location. 

Booking:

How do we book our picnic?

To book your picnic, complete the contact section with your desired date + a few details for the occasion of your picnic. We will respond, usually the same day within business hours, to schedule a consultation call. After our chat, we will send you a personalized invoice wit the details. Upon processing your payment, you are booked! Our booking process is completely catered to you!

Damage to rentals:

What happens if anything is damaged or stolen?

We provide quality rentals for your luxury picnic + many amenities that other companies don't offer! We ask you to respect our belongings as if they were your own. If any items are lost, stolen or found broken during clean up, we reserve the right to charge your credit card for the damages. We will be there to meet you at the end your picnic so that the table + rentals are not left unattended.

Closing time:

What if we finish earlier than our allotted timeframe? 

Time flies when you're having fun! If for some reason you need to leave your picnic set up a bit early, please let us know ASAP. As stated, you are responsible for the items you rent through us, so we ask that you do not leave anything unattended. We understand emergencies happen, so we will do our best to accommodate any last minute changes.
